If you pay for [Shopify POS Pro](https://storestandards.com/glossary/shopify-pos/), you already have it.
A lot of merchants find that out late.

## What it covers

- Raising a [purchase order](https://storestandards.com/glossary/purchase-order/) and sending it
- Receiving against that order
- [Stocktakes](https://storestandards.com/glossary/stocktake/) and adjustments
- Demand forecasting and suggested reorders

That is a wider job than most single-purpose apps, and for a store already
paying for POS Pro it costs nothing more.

## Worth knowing first

It is built around retail on POS Pro. If you are online only, the licence it
comes with may cost more than the app is worth to you.

Receiving is a desktop-first flow rather than a phone-in-the-stockroom one, so
check it against how your team actually works before committing.

## Where it goes wrong

Stocky and a second inventory app both write stock levels. Two sources
adjusting the same [inventory item](https://storestandards.com/glossary/inventory-item/) will disagree,
and the loser is your [stock accuracy](https://storestandards.com/glossary/stock-accuracy/). Pick one
system for stock and let anything else read rather than write.

The other one is assuming the forecast knows your business. It is built from
your sales history, so a line with three months of data and a seasonal peak
coming gets a confident and wrong suggestion.
