This policy explains what Store Standards Ltd collects when you visit this website or install one of our Shopify apps, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What this website collects
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits, and it is set up to run without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, you are not given an identifier, and you are not followed from one visit to the next. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing stored on your device to ask you about.
What Google receives is the page you looked at, the site that sent you, your rough location from your IP address, and the kind of device and browser you used. We use it to see which pages are worth writing more of. We do not run advertising scripts, and we have turned off the advertising features of Google Analytics.
Our host also records standard server logs, including IP address and user agent, which are kept for 30 days for security and then deleted.
What our apps collect
When you install one of our apps we receive the store data the app needs to do its job and nothing else. For a receiving app that is your purchase orders, your product and variant identifiers, your locations, and the scan history your team creates. We do not receive customer names, addresses or payment details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not set cookies on this website, or track you between visits.
- We do not use your store data to train machine learning models.
- We do not keep data after you uninstall, beyond the period below.
How long we keep it
Store data is deleted within 30 days of the app being uninstalled. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner by emailing us. Backups are rotated out within a further 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@storestandards.com and we will respond within 30 days.
